Complete albinism in red foxes is rare and primarily occurs in southern forest zones.
Some Fennec foxes possess specific genes that allow it to be domesticated. Scientists from the Friendly Animal Association have been engaged in a decade long project to artificially preserve these genes and breed more animals capable of befriending humans. The Fennec fox is just the latest animal to be domesticated by the group.
